Darguun is a Project that practices the Dungeon Synth sub-genre. Born from the 90’s Black Metal underground, it’s a style that stays faithful to its roots and niche. Though it never disappeared, it enjoys a recent burst of popularity, with many new projects paying homage to the pioneers. But, even being within this retro genre, Darguun manages to apply his own personality, keeping distance from the neo-medieval flourishes and heading towards a more Dark Ambient/Industrial direction. The name of the project, taken from the Dungeons & Dragons universe, refers to a nation populated mostly by Goblins and mercenaries, a desolate and hopeless atmosphere that Umbra Aeternus – eternal darkness – presents us. Dismal melodies engulfed by an even darker abyss.
